From one man he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live.  He did this so that they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.
— Act 17:26-27

Bible Basis Speaker

J.D. Payne

J. D. Payne serves as professor of Christian Ministry at Samford University.  Prior to this, he was the pastor for church multiplication with The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Alabama.  Before moving to Birmingham, he served for ten years with the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention and as an Associate Professor of Church Planting and Evangelism in the Billy Graham School of Missions and Evangelism at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he also directed the Center for North American Missions and Church Planting.

Featured Missionaries

Bruce & Irene McAtee

Bruce and Irene are seconded to AMG International from Hellenic Ministries and he serves at their Multi-Purpose Cosmo Vision Center.  Bruce reaches out to the thousands of refugees that pass into Greece from the Middle East and Africa, bringing men and families to the center to be involved in work training and doing practical jobs.  This provides the opportunity for eating, working and doing small group bible studies together. It gives dignity to the men through working and a small income.  He also assists with youth camps that happen four times a year that integrates refugee teens and internationals with the Greek youth, and holds a retreat for Refugee families in the summer.

Leroy & Debbie Zumack

Leroy and Debbie have served in France since 1985. They helped plant a church in the nothern suburbs of Paris from 1990-2002. During their time in the Paris area they hosted six evangelism teams and six work teams. In 2004, they moved to the north of France. Leroy and Debbie got involved with a Brethren Church in Lille. Once again, they hosted evangelism and work teams. In 2007, Leroy was appointed a chaplain at the Longuenesse prison, a suburb of St. Omer, an hour west of Lille, where he continues to serve. At their local church they have been involved in the prayer team, Alpha, and leading Bible studies. Leroy preaches from time to time at the church. Debbie teaches English in two local towns as well as discipling and counseling women. They will retire the end of October.

Edna Zuraw

Edna recently celebrated 60 years in the ministry of CEF. She served for 17 years as a local director for the Greater Baltimore area in Maryland but in 1980 God called her to minister in St. Louis, MO and to teach at CEF’s Children’s Ministries Institute. As a member of CEF’s Department of Education, Edna traveled worldwide helping to launch the innovative Teaching Children Effectively® program. Her favorite position was Director of the Children’s Ministries Institute in which she served for 12 years. Since 2011 Edna has been back in Maryland serving in the ministry as a semi-retired volunteer. As a Leadership Training Instructor, she continues to teach at CMI as requested, participates as part of the Maryland training team, teaches a Good News Club® and is a member of the CEF of Greater Baltimore Committee.

Local Ministry Partner

Matt Clark, All Nations STL

Matt Clark is the Executive Pastor of All Nations. All Nations is committed to equipping the local church to engage its neighbors with the love and message of Jesus Christ. Over the next 5 years, they will be working towards having fully equipped neighborhood engagement teams in every zip code in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and St. Charles County. They will also be publishing a “Pray for the Nations in St. Louis” prayer guide later this year.

Faith Promise Giving

Your Faith Promise pledge supports Hope Church's global missions activities including monthly support for Hope missionaries, special projects, and short term mission trips. The Faith Promise pledge cards are used to help determine the annual missions budget.

You will find a pledge card in your church mail folder. This card is meant as a reminder to yourself of your commitment. There is also a portion that we ask you to detach and place in the offering box outside the office.

Your Faith Promise is strictly voluntary. It should not replace your tithe. It’s between you and God. We will never ask you about it. We will not tell you what to give. You decide what to give by FAITH.

We ask that you and your family take time to pray about what God would have you to give to support our missionaries.

Missionary Prayer Journal

Twice each month, we publish a prayer list with current prayer needs from all of our missionaries. If you would like to receive this prayer list to uphold our missionaries in prayer, please let us know.
